The Peace and Development Consulting Center (PDCC) is currently undertaking a pivotal, long-term research initiative focused on the intricate dynamics of social security and the role of civil society organizations in Pakistan. This comprehensive survey project aims to map the landscape of public perception, institutional effectiveness, and community-level challenges related to security and social cohesion.
By systematically gathering and analyzing empirical data from diverse demographics across the country, the study seeks to identify underlying drivers of instability, assess the capacity of local social organizations, and evaluate the public’s trust in formal and informal security mechanisms. The project employs a mixed-methodology approach, combining quantitative surveys with in-depth qualitative interviews, to produce a nuanced understanding that bridges grassroots realities with broader policy frameworks.
The findings are designed to generate actionable insights, contributing directly to more effective, evidence-based strategies for enhancing social resilience and sustainable development in the region. This ongoing work represents a core component of PDCC’s commitment to advancing informed dialogue and practical solutions for complex socio-political environments.
